Our investments are:

• Calculated. Our genesis is quant VC, so we do the math before every investment. We work hard to avoid decision biases.

• Direct. We’d like to avoid layers of fees and the ambiguity around fund portfolios.

• Unconstrained. We review all investment opportunities in all sectors and stages.

• Mid to long term focused. We’re not traders. We set our investment horizon to 5 years for mid, and 10 years for long term investments.

• We favor best-of-breed. We like the best of the best regardless of the asset class. That often costs more, but that’s what we like.

• We like companies that make the world a better place. We are “impact oriented”. For example, we wouldn’t invest in Juul.

We prefer co-investing with other families.
